inkstyle.ink is a tattoo artist discovery platform operated as a sole trader business based in England. Our contact email is inkstyle.ink@gmail.com.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Data we collect
We collect the following personal data when you use inkstyle.ink:
- Your name and email address (when you sign up as an artist)
- Your city and country
- Portfolio images you upload to your profile
- Instagram handle and booking link (if provided)
- Password (stored as a secure hash — we never see the plaintext)
- Profile view counts
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics platforms that collect personal data about site visitors.
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Create and display your artist profile on the platform
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, notification of new signups)
- Process subscription payments via Stripe
- Communicate with you about your account
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Data processors
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each acts as a data processor under UK GDPR:
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication. Data stored in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1).
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is the data controller for payment card data. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — sending transactional emails and maintaining platform security.
- Legal obligation — retaining records required by law.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as required by law. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

- Request deletion of your personal data
